James W. Tolin married Mary A. Lattner in 1903 in Buchanan Co MO. Several Lattner [& variation of spellings...Lationer/Latiner/Latner/etc] were in the 1900 & 1910 census. I'm researching Lattner who lived in St. Joseph ca 1870-1915. There was a Mary in the family, but she died as child & prior to 1900. Does anyone have ANY information on Tolin or Lattner? It's a brick wall for me. Thank you Marie

I had lost track of my GGGgrandmother Mary Gift after 1900. I thought that she was buried at Agency, but then I thought Widdows Gift was buried at Agency. I found him in Pueblo, Colorado, alive until 1919. From 1882 until her death, Mary's listing in the Saint Joseph City directory listed her as the widow of Widdows. You have provided me with terrific information. Thanks again.
What I am searching for is an old newspaper article that would have been in the St. Joe Gazette in the (probably) early 1930's. (It could have been earlier but not later as he died in 1932.) This would concern a George Burton William, who was involved in some sort of altercation where a man was killed. (At one time my father said he thought it was in Cameron) Evidently George was convicted of this and was subsequently sent to prison. Jefferson City, it was said. I also think his picture was in the newspaper article. He would have been in his 40's at that time. George was married at the time and lived in St. Joseph with his wife and 3 little children plus a baby who was born in 1917 and died at 5 weeks old. If anyone has any knowledge of this event or any thing on the family, please contact me. Thanks, Janette --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Finance Tax Center - File online. I went to the library last night. At this time the newspapers are still at the East Hills branch. They are open daily -- Sundays not until noon. The rest of the week they are open by 9:00 a.m. They stay open in the evening until 8 M-Th; 6 F - S; 5 on Sun. I still would advise you to call them first because they are going to move soon to the remodeled building.
