My gggrandfather was David William Reed b. Feb. 1868 in Missouri d. April 18, 1929 in Des Moines, IA m. Bertha Melvina Snyder abt. 1896. She was born Oct. 1875 in either Ohio, Missouri or Iowa (she couldn't seem to make up her mind!), and died 1960. 6 children: Viva I. Reed b. Sep 1895 in Missouri m. Lee Wilkex/Wilcox lived in Arizona Harvey B. Reed b. May 1897 in Missouri m. Ethel Clark, was a lawyer maybe in Hollywood, CA? David W. Reed b. July 1899 in Missouri Ava Beatrix Reed b. May 24, 1905 in Mercer Co., Missouri d. June 7, 1988 m. Forest Edward Kline. These are my ggrandparents. Agnes E. Reed b. abt. 1909 in Missouri m. Clark 1 child: Dick Clark lived in Arizona Willa Marie Reed b. abt. 1912 in Missouri I wonder if your Fannie Reed could be a sister of my David William. I noticed you mentioned before a circuit minister who adopted a girl of Indian heritage. My David was a tent minister for the methodist church in northern Missouri. I have a paper weight which shows his tent. The other connection I thought was uncanny was that Viva, their oldest daughter, in the pictures I have of her has very dark skin. My mother and I were wondering if the family did have some Indian heritage, although the pictures of D.W & Bertha Reed do not look like it. If Viva was adopted that would definitely explain everything. D.W. & Family were found in the 1900 Census of Mercer Co., Missouri, the 1910 Census of Buchanon Co., Missouri, and the 1920 Census of Taylor Co., Iowa. Let me know if we have a connection. Thanks

I had Felix's DOB as Abt. 1845 in either TN or MO and I had the names of the children, but after that, I lost them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!! Now perhaps I can continue the line. I descend from Cynthia Beeler's line (MORTON). Nina
