Rachel Ann m: Hiram Norris, m: she died in Ingelwood, CA 1949; Frances m: Fred Duve, also d: in Ingelwood. Grandson Merwin Scott Reeder d: in Denver, CO in 1990. Do you think that some of our ancestors "just disappear"? My problem is that I have found this information coming from 1850 to 1915. So I don't have contemporary relatives to work from today back to 1915. In other words, I'm doing it backwards.

I had an idea that the church must have been close to what is now Country Club Village, where Hwy 59 and Hwy 71 intersect. I know that Jimtown Road runs diagonally for a ways, but nowadays ends at County Line Road, where Buchanan County ends. I am still hoping that someone will know if the Buchanan County northern boundary was much further north than is the present boundary, before Andrew County was formally a county in 1841.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/zJB.2ACE/2051.1.1 Message Board Post: Dave: I know where the Jimtown Road is and I believe that it probably continued into Andrew County, years ago. Now, north of County Line Road the streets run straight north and south, and are considered part of Country Club Village. I had read of a church in Jimtown at one time but have never been able to locate where it would have been. My thought is still that the Buchanan County line was some distance north of where it is now. Thanks for responding. Dennis

    1. CURTIS, ZIMMERMAN, VORIES, STORY
    2. Flavia Hodges
    3. Edwin Charles CURTIS died 19 January 1927 at his home in Kansas City, Kansas. The obituary in the St. Joseph News Press 21 Jan 1927 erroneously states he died at his home in Dodge City, Kansas. That being said, listed as survivors are a daughter, Frances Rebecca Curtis of the home. St. Joseph survivors are E. H. ZIMMERMAN; Mrs. L. A. VORIES and Mrs. J. C. STORY who were cousins. Edwin Charles Curtis was my half-uncle - he and my father shared the same father, Edwin Curtis, but not the same mother. Both Edwins are buried in Mt. Mora in St. Joseph. I am looking for information on the Zimmerman, Vories and Story families - from the 1920 census it would appear that the Story may have been John C. Story as his wife was a Zimmerman......any clues appreciated. Flavia Hodges, San Pablo, CA
