Just a quick thanks to all who responded to my message about the Bazzell and Lincoln family. As you can see, I got a wonderful response and answers to my questions about the Bazzell and Lincoln family. Very sad, appears that the daughter, Alice Belle, newly married and a young mother, contracted typhoid, died, then the grandparents helped with the baby, who also died of same, then a little later, Mary Jane Adams (the wife of Richard Albert Bazzell and grandmother to the baby, contracted the same sickness, and died, leaving many of her own children behind. I just joined this list and appreciate the generosity of all. I had been concentrating on the earlier history of this family, they originated in Caswell county, NC in late 1790s, then by 1820 had migrated to Tennessee and Kentucky, settling mostly in Calloway county, KY. Richard Albert was the son of Robert J. Bazzell and Jane Canady. Richard was also a twin to Martha Manerva Stone Bazzell. She married the Reverend John Wesley Bazzell (who was a first cousin), migrated to Missouri around the same time as Richard. She died young, in 1901. Thanks to all! Beryl Reid
