L. Stratton of near Marble Hill. Hostesses were Mrs. Stratton, Mrs. Harry Thomas and Mrs. Marvin Shanks. Miss Leadbetter received many nice gifts. Those present were: Miss Sue Leadbetter, Rev. and Mrs. W. I. Stratton and children, Walter and Virginia; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Shanks and daughter, Marabeth; Rev. and Mrs. Harry Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Crites, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Francis, Mrs. Henry Liley, Jasper Stratton, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Leadbetter and children, Wanda, Larry, Karen, Neda and Melba; Mrs. Rhoda Eaker and daughter, Miss Ina; Misses Oneda and Pat Mayfield, Mrs. Dick Seabaugh, Mrs. Chester Nanney, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Barrett and children, Charles, Carl, Ray, and Sandra and Mrs. Earnest Leadbetter. Unable to attend but sending gifts were Mr. and Mrs. Junior Fox and daughter, Sandy, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Eaker and children and Mrs. J. B. Barks. The centerpiece on the table of refreshments was a large white cake decorated with a beautiful bride doll, fashioned by Mrs. Harry Thomas. All enjoyed the delicious refreshments of cake, ice cream and kool-aid.
