He was born April 10, 1932, in Grassy, Mo., son of Charles Abel and Ida May Hillis Swan. He owned Swan Equipment Sales and was an auto body equipment salesman. Survivors include two sons, Dennis W. Swan of Petersburg, Tenn., and Kevin W. Swan of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a stepson, Jim McGinley of Fredericktown, Mo.; a step-daughter, Kathleen Russert of Blue Springs, Mo.; a special friend, Juanita Swan; three brothers, Abel and Norman Swan, both of Marble Hill, Mo., and Vernon Swan of Florissant, Mo.; seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and six great-stepgrandchildren. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Locust Grove General Baptist Church. The Rev. Phillip Jordan will officiate, with burial in Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill.
