Missourian, Cape Girardeau, MO June 2002 AGNES SLINKARD Marble Hill, MO -- Funeral for Agnes Marie Slinkard of Marble Hill be be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Marble Hill United Methodist Church. The Rev. Michael Woods will officiate. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill. Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Agnes Slinkard, 82, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at Elder Care of Marble Hill. She was born July 10, 1919, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Louis B. and Cora Koehler Seabaugh. She and William H. Slinkard were married May 25, 1946, in Cape Girardeau. He died June 6, 1999. She was a homemaker and a home childcare provider. Prior to moving to Marble Hill in the 1950s, she was employed by International Shoe Co. in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Marble Hill United Methodist Church and its Sandy Scott Methodist Women's Group. She was a former member of General Federation of Women's Clubs. Survivors include two sons, and daughters-in-law, Bruce W. and Clara Slinkard and Stephen K. and Sarah Slinkard; three grandsons, Kent and Shawn Slinkard and Bill Simmons, all of Farmington, Mo. An infant daughter, her parents, and three sisters preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to the Marble Hill United Methodist Building Fund or the American Cancer Society. CARD OF THANKS We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the individuals who completed so many acts of kindess during the death of our loved one: AGNES SLINKARD. To those who visited, brought food, sent cards and flowers, provided prayers and other support and made contributions for the church building fund, we extend a special thanks. We would like to praise the Hutchings Funeral Home and staff for their professionalism and acts of kindness. Thanks, also, to Rev. Michael Woods, for his message, the pallbearers, Marble Hill United Methodist Church family, the ladies of Sandi Scott Circle for a wonderful luncheon, organist JoAnn Shrum, soloist Bruce Greer, and Elder Care of Marble Hill.
