Missourian, Cape Girardeau, MO Jan. 2002 PAULINE HASTINGS Marble Hill, Mo. -- Pauline Sommer Hastings, 87, of Marble Hill died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at her son's home in Marble Hill. She was born Dec. 18, 1914 in Arlington, Ky., daughter of George and Edna Brown Anderson. She married William F. Hastings, Sr. on Feb. 11, 1939. He died in July 1989. She graduated from Lutesville High School in 1931. She was a member of Glen Allen Methodist Church and a member of the VFW Auxillary. She had worked as a store clerk at Chandler's Drugstore and Fairway Stores. Survivors include two sons, David Hastings of Rockfield, Ky., and Jon Hastings of Marble Hill; as daughter, Nancy Adamson of Stuttgart, Ark.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and a sister. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Michael Woods and Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery in Marble Hill.
