Missourian, Cape Girardeau, MO Oct. 2001 OLETA "VERN" JOHNSON Glen Allen, Mo. -- Oleta "Vern" Johnson, 71, of Glen Allen died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001 at St. Francis Medical Center. Born April 16, 1930, she was the daughter of James and Minnie Thompson Johnson. A lifelong resident of Glen Allen, Johnson was a retired cook, having once worked ath Bond Nursing Home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Glen Allen. Survivors include a brother, Joe Johnson, of Marble Hill, Mo. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel, with the Revs. Gene Robbins and Clinton Massa officiating. Burial will be in Glen Allen cemetery.
