Surnames: Young, Gremard, Mathis, Taylor, Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TMB.2ACI/3391 Message Board Post: The Banner Press, Marble Hill, MO April 21, 1960 Services Held Monday For Mrs. Minnie Young Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 18, at the Baptist Church in Wardell, for Mrs. Minnie Jane Young, 73 years old, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Mathis of near Scopus on Satruday. Rev. Darrel Jauch was in charge of the services with interment in the Memorial Cemetery at Wardell. The daughter of the late Rufus and Lavinia Taylor, Mrs. Young was born near Benton. She was married on December 28, 1902 to Oscar C. Young, who preceded her in death March 24, 1951. A son, Marvin and a sister, also preceded her in death. Surviving are two daaughters, Mrs. Mathis, with whom she hand been making her home, and Mrs. Ralph (Wanda) Gremard of Collinsville, Illinois; two sons, Benton Young of Ypallantl, Mich. and Merriel Young, of East St. Louis, Illinois, 32 grandcchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Note: The Original Headline said "Yount" instead of "Young" but the rest of the obituary used "Young" so I'm assuming that the "Yount" was a typographical error.
