April 2, 1959 Last Rites Held Monday For Charles I. Adamson Last rites were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Ward Funeral Home in Lutesville for Charles I. Adamson, 83 year old retired farmer, who died Saturday afternoon at the family home in Lutesville. Rev. W. O. Liley, General Baptist minister of Marble Hill, conducted the services and burial was in the Leslie Ridge Cemetery east of Marble Hill. Mr. Adamson was born February 24, 1876, at Casey, Illinois, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Adamson. In 1904 he was married at Marble Hill to Ella Welch, who survives. He ad resided in this county for 54 years. He is also survived by a son, Elbe Adamson of Marble Hill; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Smeerly of Casey, Illinois, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A son, three daughters, two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
