May 31, 1973 LOREN REVELLE DROWNS Loren Frederick Revelle, 23 years old of Lutesville, was drowned Friday at 10:30 p.m. when he fell from a barge at Alton, Illonis. Mr. Revelle, who was employed by Security Barge Line of Greenville, Mississippi, was born near Whitewater on January 23, 1950. His parents are Loren and Dorothy Huffman Revelle. He was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. In addition to his parents, Mr. Revelle is survived by a son, Thomas Revelle of Lutesville; three sisters, Mrs. Delmar Rhodes of St. Louis, Mrs. Larry Mayfield of Marble Hill and Miss Brenda Kay Revelle, at home; three brothers, James Edward Revelle of Puxico, Billy Joe Revelle of the U.S. Navy, stationed at Cecil Field, Florida and Danny Ray Revelle, at home; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Flora Copeland of Ponderosa Sky Ranch, Panescreek, California and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Carrie Huffman of Laflin. Chapel services were held Monday at 3 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Lutesville with Rev. Donald Sanders officiating. Burial was in Barks Chapel Cemetery near Whitewater.
