E. Chostner Friends here have learned of the death of J. E. Chostner, 73 years old of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a native of Bollinger Co. Mr. Chostner was born February 28, 1898, near Scopus and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Chostner. On July 30, 1922, he married Miss Dorothy Spencer and she survives. A retired railroad worker, Mr. Chostner resided most of his life in Limon, Colorado. He was twice past master of the Eastern Star Chapter at Linon. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Murray Swearingen of Colorado Springs; four brothers, R. M. Chostner of St. Louis, D. E. Chostner of Waukegan, Illinois, Lester Chostner of Greenboro, North Illinois, Lester Chostner of Greenboro, North Carolina and Chester B. Chostner of Rockford, Illinois; three sisters: Mrs. Mildred Terrill of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Rosalee Hall and Mrs. Cecile Lamb, both of Cape Girardeau and two grandchildren. A brother, james Earl Chostner, preceded him in death June 1, 1973. Chapel services were held Monday at the law Funeral Home in Colorado Springs. Burial was in a cemetery there.
