Missourian, Cape Girardeau, MO Oct. 2001 THELMA KIRKPATRICK Marble Hill, Mo. -- Funeral for Thelma Kirkpatrick of Marble Hill be be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Virgin Bunch will officiated. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Kirkpatrick, 90, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001 at Wednesday Oct. 17, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 13, 1911 in Bollinger County daughter of Malachi and Alma C. Allen Baker. She and Oliver Kirkpatrick were married March 1, 1932 at Fredericktown, Mo. He died Jan. 8, 1999. Kirkpatrick was a lifelong resident of Bollinger County and attended Will Mayfield College. She taught school at Greenbrier, Mo., in the 1930s and she and her husband owend a service station and grocery store at Glen Allen, Mo., 14 years. She was a member of Marble Hill United Methodist Curch and its United Methodist Women. Survivors include a son, Gary Kirkpatrick of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; a daugher, Betty Dowd of St. Charles, Mo.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
