She was born March 5, 1945, in St. Louis County, the daughter of Joseph Henry and Meredith Winkler Mitchell. She married Taylor Anthony Brown on March 12, 1968, in St. Louis. She was a sales associate at Wal-Mart in Jackson, Mo., and was a member of Miller's Chapel Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 24 years and was church treasurer and clerk for 20 years. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sandra Ann Lincoln of Glen Allen; a son, Taylor Anthony Brown II of Marble Hill, Mo.; a sister; Sarah Jean Bene of DeSoto, Mo.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be at 11 A.M. Saturday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Ray Meek officiating. Burial will be in Old Trace Creek Cemetery.
