I am descended from Hiram Lee who married Elizabeth Cheek in 1826, Cape Gir. Co. I am trying to find proof that Elizabeth is the child of Randolph and Sarah Cheek who died in Bollinger Co., in the late 1870's. A newspaper article in 1873 mentions that they are the parents of 11 children, all living. From all the bits and pieces that I have collected for over 20 years I am trying to put together their family. I believe the above surnames are the children's spouses. If anyone on the list has something to share I would be happy to have it and am happy to share what I have. There is a lot of misinformation about this lineage on the internet. The children I have proven are: James H. (sarah Hahn), Andrew (Sarah Crites), Anderson (single), Jesse C. (Mary C. Grable), Patience (Leonard Welker), Mary B.Polly (George W. Mayfield) Other possible children are Sarah (Michael Moyers), Pernecia (Jacob Mayfield), Kazado (John Propts) John (Lucinda Mayfield) and Elizabeth (Hiram Lee).! Thanks for any help.
