    2. All of the interest being given to Bollinger Mill is making me think and wonder about other mills in the area. My grandfather, Ben Bollinger, had a mill in Zalma, located by the cemetery. His father, Daniel, operated a mill upriver, next to the James store which burned recently. A dam across the river was built to power that one and when it burned, the dam was destroyed. My grandfather's mill was a little too far from the Caster River to have been powered by the water. I don't know what they used for power. While driving through the country a few years ago we found another mill along another river. It may have been on the Caster River but I'm not sure. I remember hearing of the Dolle Mill. Has anyone written about the mills of Bollinger County? It would be interesting reading about the locations of the mills, how important they were to the area, and about the people who ran them. Thank you for any news along this line. Vivian
