Mary Mae Smith November 2, 1838 Mary Mae Smith, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Luther Smith of Columbia, MO, passed away Sunday morning, October 23, 1838, at Columbia, MO, at the age of 8 years, 8 months and 13 days. Funeral services were held Monday at the Methodist Church in Patton. She is survived by her parents, one sister, Patsy Ann, her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Smith of Patton and her maternal grandfather, Mr. Sample of Cape Girardeau Co, MO, 4 aunts and 6 uncles. Helen L. Smith Hoke (I chase dead people....and they are so far ahead of me, I'll never catch up. I think they're hiding under rocks.)
