Josie A. Smith Sept 7, 1905 Died at the home of her parents about four miles southeast of Sedgewickville, Josie A, daughter of J. C. and Mary S. Smith, August 29, at the age of 29 years, 7 months, and 12 days, of Tuberculosis after about two years suffering. She united with the M. E. Church, South, about four years ago of which institution, she remained a faithful and devoted member. She bore her suffering without a murmur and was confined to her bed only about three days before her death. Her remains were laid to rest in the Sedgewickville Cemetery. She leaves a father, mother, 5 brothers and a host of friends to mourn her departure. Helen L. Smith Hoke (I chase dead people....and they are so far ahead of me, I'll never catch up.
