Rev. Poston will fill his regular appointment at Mt. Carmel over the weekend. 2. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Wallis spent the weekend at their farm in this community. 3. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Basden and son, visited Sunday with Mrs. Basden's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Urban. 4. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Slinkard and children spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Rutherford of Cape Girardeau. Diana and John Slinkard remained for a week's visit in the Rutherford home. 5. Mr. and Mrs. George Slinkard and daughter of Bridgton visited Saturday night with his brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Slinkard. 6. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Cook moved Wednesday into their new home. 7. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lincoln visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lincoln. 8. Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Moore and daughter visited Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Slinkard and children a short time Sunday morning.
