Kirkpatrick, 88, of Glenallen died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown, Mo. She was born Sept. 27, 1916, at Lutesville, Mo., daughter of Jerome and Blanche V. Pair Slinkard. She married Joe Kirkpatrick, who preceded her in death. Kirkpatrick retired as a dietitian at Deaconess Hospital in St. Louis. She was a member of Glenallen First Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Russell "Pete" Kirkpatrick of Glenallen; a daughter, Donna Powell of Fredericktown; two brothers, Loy Slinkard of Arizona, Loren Slinkard of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Veda Jolly of Fair Oak, Calif.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo., from 4 to 8 p.m. today. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Meek officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.

Born Feb. 2, 1940, in Cash, Ark., son of the late Leonard Lee and Nellie Maud Nicholas Phillips, he had worked for the Missouri Highway Department, Delta Asphalt and Koch Asphalt. He owned Leray Transportation before retiring five years ago. On Nov. 24, 1969, he married Phyllis Hueter who survives of the home. Other survivors include: two brothers, Dean Phillips of Bloomfield and Glenn Phillips of Branson; and one sister, Linda Nelson of Marston. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. Services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Pat Hogan and Johnny Hester, ministers of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, officiated. Burial followed in the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.

She was born March 31, 1916, near Advance, Mo., daughter of Oria Carman and Dottie Lorna Wiggins Harris. She and Troy Marion Tippett Sr. were married Oct. 24, 1941. He died Dec. 28, 2000. Tippett had been a teacher with Woodland School District. She was a member of Marble Hill United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, and Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include two sons, Troy Tippett II of Pensacola, Fla., Brian Tippett of Cincinnati, Ohio; and five granddaughters. She was preceded in death by two brothers. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Liley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The Fetterhoffs were among 363 winning dealers throughout the country. They were awarded the trip for ranking among the top four stores of comparable size in tire sales. More than 3700 owners of Western Auto Associate Stores throughout the United States participated in the contest which was based on the promotion and sale of Western Auto's national brand name merchandise. Mr. Fetterhoff was recently presented with a bronze plaque in recognition of his 10 years as a Western Auto dealer. Mr. and Mrs. Fetterhoff are the parents of four children, Bill, Tom, Anita, and Carl. They were accompanied to Cape Girardeau by their children and Mr. Fetterhoff''s mother, Mrs. Ruth Fetterhoff, Friday night where they left by plane for Lambert Field, St. Louis. There they met other Western Auto dealers. Transportation from St. Louis to San Juan was by chartered planes. While the Fetterhoffs are gone on the trip, their sons, Bill and Tom, are managing the store.

Mrs. Hardesty, the former Miss Minnie Jackson, was born May 23, 1891 in this county. In 1917 she was married to Jess Hardesty, who died in 1952. Mr. Cook, a son of the late John and Tena Welker Cook, was born September 25, 1882, near Lutesville, where he spent all of his life. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Caroline Cook; six sons, Charlie, Tom, Perl, Henry, Grover, and John Cook; four daughters: Mrs. Annie Long, Mrs. Bertha Cook, Mrs. Ruby Hanners, and Mrs. Iva Long; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Cook and Mrs. Suzie Langston, 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, all of whom reside on Lutesville Route 2 in Hurricane Fork community.

Rev. Fred A. Heckathorn, pastor of the church conducted the rites and burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Seabaugh, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Logan Seabaugh, was born May 4, 1885 near Sedgewickville where he spent his entire life. In 1910 he was married to Miss Nancy Jane Seabaugh, who survives. Mr. Seabaugh was active in the Sedgewickville Lutheran Church and community affairs. He is also survived by two sons, Woodrow W. Seabaugh, who is circuit clerk of Cape Girardeau County and Capt. Millford Seabaugh of Topeka, Kansas; two daughters, Mrs. Robert C. Friedrick and Mrs. Glenn Williams of Jackson, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mr. Shell, a son of the late Frederick and Susan Crader Shell, was born March 21, 1874, in the Hahn community where he spent his entire life, except for the five years he lived in the nursing home. During his active life, Mr. Shell farmed. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clare Shell of St. Louis; a stepson, Alonzo Greer of St. Louis, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Three children and three brothers preceded him in death.

Hiteman reading the vows. A wedding supper was served at the home of the bridegroom's parents. The couple are making their home at 320 South Sprigg St., Cape Girardeau. Mr. Crites has employment in that city.

Murdick, pastor of the Methodist Church of Whitwater. Burial will be in the Baker Cemetery. Mr. Baker was married to Elisabeth Huff at Charleston and the family had resided there, in Divernon and Chicago, Illinois, and for the past few years in Fornfelt. He had also lived near Greenbrier. Surviving are his wife; five sons, Claude, Hall, and Leo Baker of Chicago; Marshal Baker of St. Louis and Garrett Baker, in the merchant marines, stationed in San Francisco, California; three sisters: Mrs. Nora Bumgardner of San Diego,California, Mrs. L. R. Baker of Sikeston, and Mrs. T. P. Estes of Lutesville; two brothers, A. J. Baker of Lutesville and Rev. C. R. Baker of near Patton; also several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard T. Baker of Charleston, two sisters and two brothers.

Mr. Binnie moved to Marble Hill in 1996 from Mesa. He was a member of Marble Hill Optimist Club and involved in the club's horse show events. He attended Marble Hill United Methodist Church and participated in the Men's Club. Throuhout his life he regularly helped and encouraged many people. Bruce was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and papa. He loved the Missouri outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and his horses. He was employed as a farm manager by MTX Inc. of Marble Hill. Survivors include his wife, mother of Millersville; two brothers, Edward York of Albuquerque, N.M., Robert York of Glen Allen, Mo.; and a sister, Myrna Cheek of Morley, Mo. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers. Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel after 10 a.m. Saturday. A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at the chapel. The Rev. Dale Huff will officiate.

He was born Aug. 16, 1922, at Hiram, son of Richard B. and Mary Barrett Barnhart. He married the former Bonnie Hahs. Barnhart had been a construction worker. He was a member of Cowan General Baptist Church, VFW Post 5900, Zalma Masonic Lodge, Laborers Local 42, and NRA. He served with the 42nd Infantry Division in the European Theater during World War II. Survivors include his wife, a son, Clifton Barnhart of St. Charles, Mo.; a sister Betty Burton of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two grandchildren; and three great-granchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister. A memorial service wil be held at a later date. Hutchings Funeral Chapel at Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.

She was born July 13, 1923, at Judsonia, Ark., daughter of James E. and Allie Kemp Walker. She and Harley James Chapman were married Jan. 4, 1943, in Bloomfield, Mo. He died Jan. 5, 1968. Chapman was employed at the Florsheim Shoe Factory. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary and the Oak Ridge Eastern Star. Survivors include three sons, Lester and Lonnie Chapman of Grassy and Jimmy Chapman of St. Charles, Mo., a daughter, Connie Fornkohl of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Virginia Stroder of Wenatchee, Wash.; and a brother, James Bill Walker of St. Louis; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and a grandson. Friends may call form 5 to 9 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Home. Eastern Star service will be at 7 p.m. today. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Revs. Bill Kitchen and Billy Kaber officiating. Burial will be in Barrett Cemetery in Coldwater, Mo.
