Wallace's pension application from the National Archives and I am correcting information on an earlier post. James C. Wallace was b. in 1847. He married Mary Elizabeth Brown on 1/31/1869 in Benton Co. They had the following children: Frank E. Wallace, b. 6/4/1882, John L. Wallace b. 2/15/1885, Rebecca C. Wallace b. 8/29/1888, James C. Wallace b. 4/16/1891. At this time the only marriages I have is Rebecca's marriage and I don't have a first name yet. She married a Dalton. James died 3/26/1897 of consumption. He also was blind from an eye disease. They lived in Mack's Creek at the time of his death. Mary remarried in Camden Co., Mo 5/21/1903 to a Thomas A. Neff. She outlived Thomas too and applied for a pension from him too.
