Wray, who lived seven miles southeast of Cole Camp on Indians Creek, on Saturday night, August 14. He was 59. He had gone with two of his neighbors for a coon hunt and, when the dogs treed a coon, the men chopped the tree. Mr. Wray was standing at some distance, but a large dry limb broke loose and struck him on the breast, in the region of the heart. He was instantly killed and did not move a muscle. How true it is, that while we are in life, we are in the midst of death. Mr. Wray was born in Franklin Co., VA on May 4, 1829. He moved to this state in 1882. He leaves an aged widow and eight children, of which P. R. Wray is the oldest. His funeral was at the Congregational Church. His body was taken to Parks graveyard and laid to rest to await the resurrection morning.
