Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SMB.2ACI/1383.1 Message Board Post: The rock found in abundance in the vicinity of Lincoln, MO, is called Mozarkite. In 1967 it was declared the official "State Rock" of Missouri. The rock takes an extremely high polish and is used in jewelry. The Native Americans used it for tools and weapons. My son Rick and I use it for arrowhead, spear points and knife blades in creating 21st century artifacts. The raw material (rough rock) is available from Linville Harms, Sedalia, MO. Google shows over 1,000 hits on the subject. Lou
