My ggg grandmother was Jaily Birdsong Bybee. I have been able to trace her roots - English. My main interest though has been the finding of indian heritage as my grandmother was a Bybee from Preston, Missouri and came over to Bourbon County Kansas in a covered wagon with her father, John Bybee and mother, Ella Dunn Bybee. Also she had a sister and 2 brothers. They have very strong native american features and I have not been able to find the connection. Would you know anything of it? John's (my g grandfater) father was also John William Bybee married to Elizabeth Henshaw or Hensaw. John W's father was Levi who was married to Jale or Jaily.
