Please note: Many obits contain many errors. Cole Camp Courier June 29, 1979; Pg. 5 ALBERT JOHN HAASE Albert John Haase, 604 S. Hickory, Cole Camp, passed away Wednesday morning, June 13, 1979, at Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 15 days. He was born August 28, 1910, at Cole Camp, son of Claus C. and Anna W. Luetjen Haase. On September 11, 1910, he was baptized by Rev. Meyer and May 4, 1924, he was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church by Rev. Karl Nierman. On September 7, 1935, he was united in marriage with Alvena M. Schowengerdt, who survives of the home. He had lived in Higginsville, Mo., for about 17 years before moving to Cole Camp in 1950. He had worked as a shoe cutter at Town and Country Shoes in Sedalia for 22 years from 1951-1973. Mr. Haase was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cole Camp. Other survivors include a son, Larry Albert Haase, Warrensburg; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Patricia Ann) Beckman, Cole Camp; a sister, Mrs. Norman (Frances) Hink, Cole Camp; three grandchildren, Jonathan E. Beckman of Cole Camp, Garry A. and Michael A. Haase of Warrensburg. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Erhard Wolf officiating, Lillie Borchers served as organist and Fern Marie Faaborg, vocalist, sang "Abide With Me." "Beautiful Savior" was sung by the congregation. Burial was in the church cemetery, north of Cole Camp. Pallbearers were Arthur Luetjen, Robert Haase, Ralph Haase, Richard Schowengerdt, Charles Marcks, Louis Schowengerdt, Melvin Schowengerdt and Loren Kaden. A prayer servive was held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp. The family received friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home. rwbrauer@iland.net
