Kohrs, 57, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1987, at Eirie Lakes Hospital West in Watertown of cancer. Marvin F. Kohrs was born Aug. 22, 1929 in Cole Camp, Mo., son of Ernest and Dorothea Koeller Kohrs. He came to Raymond to work for Wegman for 12 years, then worked in Raymond a self-employed mechanic. He later worked as a farm mechanic for Vince Menneally of Raymond, and for the last nine years was mechanic for the clark County Highway Department. He married Florence Genzler in Redfield on Oct. 25, 1955. A member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Raymond, he was custodian for 28 years, taught Sunday School, and at the time of his death was the church treasurer. Survivors include his wife, Florence; four sons, Ernest and his wife Teresa of Clark, Time and his wife Betty of Raymond, and Kenneth and David at home; two daughters, Karla and Sandra, both of Clark; two brothers, William of Warsaw and Rudy of Lincoln; his mother, Dorothea Kohrs of Cole Camp; his mother-in-law, Berta Genzler of Heron; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest; two brothers, John and Louis; and a grandson. Rudy Kohrs and William Kohrs attended the funeral of their brother Marvin at Raymond, South Dakota.
