Cole Camp Courier, August 13, 1964 Mrs. Oscar Kreisel Funeral Rites Mrs. Anna Katherine Kreisel, wife of Oscar Kreisel, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Canida of Lincoln Route 2 at 9:00 o'clock Friday morning, August 7 at the age of 47 years, 4 months and 10 days. She had been ill the past five weeks and hospitalized part of the time. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Fox Funeral Chapel in Cole Camp with the Rev. Arthur G. Kuecker of Stover, officiating. Pallbearers were Larry Steffens, Ray Dean Brauer, Elroy Brauer, Edward Brauer, Frank Kreisel and Joby Vaughn. Interment was in the Mt. Hulda cemetery south of Cole Camp. Mrs. Anna Katherine Kreisel, nee Steffens, was born March 27, 1917 at Cole Camp, Mo., a daughter of Mrs. Maggie A. Koeller Steffens and the late Henry C. Steffens. She was baptized in the Mt. Hulda Lutheran Church on April 10, 1917. On April 19, 1931 she was confirmed in the Mt. Hulda Lutheran Church by the Rev. W. O. Petzoldt. On March 15, 1936 she was united in marriage to Mr. Oscar Kreisel. The couple resided in Sedalia until 1939 when they moved to their farm five miles east of Cole Camp. Seven children were born to this union, all of whom survive. Survivors include her husband, Oscar Kreisel of the home; four sons, Albert E. Kreisel, Sedalia; Harry L. Kreisel, Ft. Polk, Louisiana; Elmer L. Kreisel, Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.; and Fred J. Kreisel of the home near Cole Camp; three daughters, Anna Bell, Mrs. Fred Lang, Kansas City, Mo.; Minnie, Mrs. Wilbur Canida, Lincoln, Mo.; Miss Mary Alice Kreisel at home; two step children, Oscar H. Kreisel, Jr., Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Helma, Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler, Sedalia, Mo.; two grandchildren, six step-grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Irene Steffens, Cole Camp and Mrs. Dora Brauer, Cole Camp; and two brothers, Fred Steffens and Elmer Steffens, both of Cole Camp. rwbrauer@iland.net
