Cole Camp Courier December 21, 1995, Pg. 3 Louis Haase Louis Friedrich Haase, age 90 of Cole Camp, Missouri, died at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home there, on December 15, 1995. He was born near Cole Camp on February 9, 1905, a son of Charlie and Gesche Wohlers Haase. He was united in marriage to Virgie Jewell Weaver on January 23, 1930 in Marshall, Missouri. She preceded him in death on November 11, 1932. He was united in marriage to Dora Maria Schutte on March 2, 1939, and she survives of the home. Louis had worked as a pile driver on the Missouri River. He worked on the construction of Highway 65 from Warsaw to Waverly, Missouri, and he was a farm laborer, retiring in 1987. He lived in rural Cole Camp until 1984, when he moved into Cole Camp. He was a member of Mt. Hulda Lutheran Church. He was baptized at home on February 19, 1905. On April 13, 1919, at IMM. Monsees, he was confirmed. Besides his wife he is survived by five sons, Warren Eugene Haase, Shedd, Oregon; Larry Lee Haase, Sedalia, Missouri; Herbert Louis Haase, Jones Mills, Arkansas; Donald Wayne Haase, Marshall, Missouri; and Douglas Dale Haase, Troy, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother. Prayer service was held on Sunday, December 17, 1995, with visitation following. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 18, 1995 at Mt. Hulda Lutheran Church, Cole Camp, the Rev. Mark F. Laugavitz officiating. Interment was in Mt. Hulda Cemetery. the congregation, accompanied by Sharon Steffens, sang "Amazing Grace" and "What A Friend We Have In Jesus." Pallbearers were Dale Haase, Jonathan Haase, Patrick Haase, Bruce Love, Warren Schutte, and Harry Brauer. The family suggest memorials to the Mt. Hulda Church Ramp Fund.
