Cole Camp Courier March 4, 1993, Pg. 8 Amos John Henry Schutte Amos John Henry Schutte of Cole Camp died at 5:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Cole Camp. He was 83. He was born July 29, 1909, in the Mt. Hulda community, son of Bernhard and Louise Koeller Schutte. He was a farm laborer who never married. He had entered Good Samaritan Nursing Home on Jan. 10, 1992. Amos Schutte was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Cole Camp, having been baptised Aug. 22, 1909, at Mt. Hulda Lutheran Church and confirmed March 25, 1923 at Mt. Hulda Lutheran. Survivors include one sister, Dora (Mrs. Louis) Haase, Cole Camp; and one brother, F.A. Schutte of Smithton, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother. Rev. Marvin Ulmer and Vicar Daniel Rhodes officiated at the funeral service for Amos John Henry Schutte at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Congregational singing of "Rock of Ages" was included in the ceremony. Burial was in the New Trinity Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harry Brauer, Larry Haase, Douglas Haase, John Meyer, Warren Schutte, Don Haase and Jeff Lutjen. Arrangements were under the direction of Fox Funeral Home of Cole Camp.
