Please note: Many obits contain many errors. Sedalia Democrat, September 28, 2000 Larry L. Koeller Sr. 1940-2000 SEDALIA Larry L. Koeller Sr., 59, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia. He was born Oct. 26, 1940, in Sedalia, a son of Lawrence E. and Mildred Thompson Koeller. On May 18, 1969, in Sedalia, he was married to Maybelle Hunter, who survives of the home. Mr. Koeller was a 1958 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He was a lifelong resident, who worked at Pirtle-Evans Market and Roseland Meats. He worked for the Missouri Pacific-Union Railroad from 1977 to 1993. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt deer and fish for crappie and catfish. He enjoyed his hobbies of gas engine machines and wood carving. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Also surviving are a son Larry Koeller Jr. of Tulsa, Okla,; two daughters, Terri A. Cunningham of Sedalia and Leslie L. Koeller of Oak Grove; a brother, David Koeller of Sedalia; his stepmother, Verneta Koeller of Sedalia; a stepbrother, Marvin Buford of Fort Myers, Fla.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kenneth Tatkenhorst officiating. Pallbearers will be Dennis Brandt, Ralph Craig, Jerry Curtis, George Schutte, Mark Simmons, Terry Simmons, Sonny Weathers and Jim Wise. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Heckart/Gillespie Colonial Chapel.
