    3. Please note: Many obits contain many errors. Sedalia Democrat after March 14, 1978 Lee Payton COLE CAMP - Lee Payton, 59, died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday morning at his home here. He was born Jan. 18, 1919, at Harrison, son of Lee and Susie Gregg Payton. On March 4, 1966, he married Dora Brauer, who survives. A veteran of World War II, Mr. Payton was a member of American Legion Post No. 305, V.F.W. Post No. 2623 and St. Paul's Lutheran Church here. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Linda Fay Brentley, Clinton, Iowa; Mrs. Alta Lee Richards, Clinton, Mo.; two stepsons, Elroy and Ray Dean Brauer, both of Cole Camp; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Sharon Beeson and Mrs. Margaret Roark, both of Cole Camp; Mrs. Delores Pitts, Ionia; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Burks, Springfield; Mrs. Hester Vananaton, Clinton, Mo., Mrs. Alice Berry, Warrensburg; five grandchildren, 21 step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home here with the Rev. A.H. Roesener officiating. Burial will be at the Brauersville Cemetery near here. Friends may call from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where a prayer service will be held at 8:30 p.m. rwbrauer@iland.net
