    2. >From the Sedalia newspaper, Aug., 22, 1964: George H. Dyer (Warsaw) George H. Dyer, 86, Warsaw, died Thursday [Aug. 20 1964] at his home. He had been in failing health the past two years and had suffered a stroke one week ago. He was born in Milan, Sullivan County, Mo., Feb. 18, 1878, son of the late William C. and Eliza Long Dyer. He was the second of a family of nine. On Aug. 31, 1898, he was married to Miss Ellie Coon, who survives of the home. To this union five sons were born. He was reared in Benton County, moving there with his parents at the age of six. He moved with his family to LaMonte, Mo., in 1912 , and was engaged in farming until his retirement, when he moved to Warsaw. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Warsaw, where he attended regularly as long as his health permitted. Surviving besides his wife are: two sons, Walter W. of El Paso, Tex., and Clyde of Warsaw; one brother, John L. [Lew]Dyer, LaMonte; two sisters, Myrtle Kindle, LaMonte, and Grace Furnell, Sedalia; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sons, Dr. Homer Dyer, Hubert Dyer, and Chester in infancy, one sister, Lottie Brown, and four brothers, Roy, Joe, Charley, and Arthur. Funeral services will be held at the Warsaw Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, near Edwards. The body is at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday.
