The 1880 Benton Co. Federal Census lists a Jno. C. Johnson, b. OH abt 1820 and wife Sallie, b. KY abt 1823. In the same household is listed a grandson, Clarence Garrison. I think there is a good chance that John C. Johnson is of my line as the names, ages and birthplace of both John C. and Sarah match what I have found elsewhere. My Sarah Johnson's maiden name was Peterie or Petrie. One source states that John died in Kansas. Would like to hear from anyone with knowledge of this family or who might have access to information that could shed adddtional light on this family.
