MO, he was called Merida on several legal papers, having to do with his father Henry Edwards estate in 1846-48. His father died interstate, Merida bought a gun from the sale of the property. and that was the last I found him. Is there anyone who has the land sale records? If not I can order a film for them. Post your question on the St. Louis, MO rootsweb lists and you WILL get the answer you are looking for! Good Luck! Denise

I've quite a few Union Army records for my David G Maize, here's what some say. Benton Barracks Missouri, known as Camp Benton. Located in N St Louis Co, 3-4 miles from St Louis City. Benton Barracks was not only a hospital, it was also a training & troop deployment encampment. My error about the Benton Mo, I'd just assumed that's where Camp Benton was located. Guess this means you can't help me right? Thanks anyway, Toni Maize in Nevada

I am seeking parents of Arrena...perhaps Elisha E. Scott 62 in 1860 census, but the wife Rebecca age 49 is too young to be Arrena's Mother...perhaps there was a prior wife. Joseph b. circa 1848 (Farmer) Paralee b. circa 1847 Charles 3 years old John 2/12 (years old) What I do know is my great-grandfather John Henry Combs, was born 03/21/1870. I find him next on a 1920 census for Hardeman Co, TX. His parents have been my brick wall for a long time. Information I've received from a volunteer (taken from "death records" of John Henry in Lamesa, Dawson Co, TX - 1949) showed his parents as being Henry and Parrale Fogg Combs. Have not been able to find this exact combination and thought the family above might be them. The years and "Parrale-Paralee" fit - and apparently, "Henry and Parrale" were both born in Missouri, as this census shows. If anyone knows anything about this line I would greatly appreciate your contacting me. Glad to share what I have. Please respond to the board or directly to me at kelkins71@yahoo.com.
