They are not listed in the 1876 state census of Benton County, or the 1889 tax list. Possibly the church records might indicate where they transferred from and/or to. I don't find any other mentions of this surname.

Grandfather was Hugo Robert Charle, who had lived in St.Louis, Quincy Hannibal, Fort Wayne and Chicago areas. so that is where I looked....until I saw the 1880 census, listing August Charle and his wife, three children August, Augusta, and Hugo. The father August was listed as school teacher so I am guessing he taught at a Lutheran school as well as acting as DCE and organist, etc, like Grandpa. I'd like to hear from anyone familiar with that area especially German Lutheran Churches, Schools, cemetaries, as well as city or county record-keepers of any kind. If anything is found I'd like a look-up to see if any Charle's are left there and if so, who how old and what doing. Thanks to anyone who can of! fer any help at all. dorothy

It sits on private property. Are you linked to the Thomas or Woolery families? As far as I know the only ones in this cem. are the Thomas family. I do have a few pictures of the stones I will be happy to share. I also have a few pictures from the Bethel Campground Cem. located near Edwards. If you still would like directions you may email me at lakween@dam.net. Angie

I am trying to put together a book on CC area cemeteries, or any related. When you mention WOLLERY I though your Thomas cemetery could be between Cole Camp and Lincoln, and area where my family had a farm. Be this the case I would like directions in the event this is one I missed. ThanXXX

There was and is no Catholic church or cemetery at Lincoln, but possibly they are buried in Lincoln Cemetery just north of town, and I believe the Warsaw library has a listing of burials there. Another possibility might be St Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery on S. Fowler St in Cole Camp.

Jacob Bredehoft did marry Margaretha Adelheid Wienberg (whoever translated that information did so incorrectly) on October 12, 1875. Jacob and Margaretha were my grandparents, they had 14 children, my father Harry was the second youngest. My question is: what happened to Sophia. She is not listed as a death in the Concordia or Emma church records. If you want to see what happened to the 14 children go to my sister's web site at www.jacobbredehoeft.org. We did indeed multiply

My ggg grandmother was Jaily Birdsong Bybee. I have been able to trace her roots - English. My main interest though has been the finding of indian heritage as my grandmother was a Bybee from Preston, Missouri and came over to Bourbon County Kansas in a covered wagon with her father, John Bybee and mother, Ella Dunn Bybee. Also she had a sister and 2 brothers. They have very strong native american features and I have not been able to find the connection. Would you know anything of it? John's (my g grandfater) father was also John William Bybee married to Elizabeth Henshaw or Hensaw. John W's father was Levi who was married to Jale or Jaily.
