I just found the link to this line this last week. The daughter of George and Sydney, Hannah Susan married Samuel Woods, they had a daughter Laura who married Guilford Simpson, the parents of my great grandfather William Jasper Simpson. So....do you have more information on the McDaniels and Clevelands? It would be great to link up and combine our efforts. Thanks!

I am trying to confirm the death date and burial record for John Greene McKinzie and his wife Elizabeth Jane (Varner) McKinzie. Both were born about 1854. Someone told me of a citation in a Benton County history book which told of a John McKinzie who died at his home south of Warsaw of pneumonia at the age of 45. According to John's birth date and the age of the John McKinzie who died at the age of 45, the date of death would have been 1899. In the 1900 census Elizabeth is shown living at Warsaw,Lindsay Twp. Benton Co. MO with four children and she was listed as a widow. Elizabeth can't be found in any census record after 1900, so she possibly died or remarried. Does anyone have a suggestion as to who I can contact to confirm the above information? Thank you, Sandy D.

I have a relative that was born in 1835 September. He can't decide if he was born in Benton County (according to his military records) or if he was born in St. Joseph (Buchanan), Missouri (his obituary). I should be grateful he is consistant with his birth date (unlike other relatives). The trivia, is there some birth records out there that can tell me where this darling relative was born. I realize 1835 is wishful thinking and pushing it for having information especailly in Missouri.

It looks like you would have to go in and search all the records for that year in the counties you feel she could be in. Tonight I checked Benton County, Fristoe TWP all 40 records for you but did not find any of the names you gave. Just so you know she may be in the 1900 census but it is not name indexed in Anc.com at this time. Benton County lists 4 other townships: Alexander, Cole, Other Townships and Tom. Hickory County lists 8 Townships: Center, Cross Timbers, Green, Montgomery, Other Townships, Stark, Tyler & Wheatland. You can't rule out that she's in the 1900 census until all records are checked - and that will take forever. I wish you good luck and I'm sorry I misinformed you. On Heritage Quest I went in on her name and it did not give me a hit for that age - there was a younger Matilda Thomas (mother) living with a family but I think she was around 75 and I couldn't make out the last name of the family she was with but it was not any of the names you gave. Again sorry I couldn't be of more help.
