He would be much older than she was. He moved to Oklahoma and actually was in OK in 1918. Also how old are her adoptive parents and what other children did they have. Who was her fathers father (her grandfather Carter). Always wanting too many details. Appreciate it. Michelle

In 1967 it was declared the official "State Rock" of Missouri. The rock takes an extremely high polish and is used in jewelry. The Native Americans used it for tools and weapons. My son Rick and I use it for arrowhead, spear points and knife blades in creating 21st century artifacts. The raw material (rough rock) is available from Linville Harms, Sedalia, MO. Google shows over 1,000 hits on the subject. Lou

    1. James & Elizabeth Robinson b. abt 1830
    2. Does anyone know the maiden name of the Elizabeth C Robinson who appears with James R Robinson on the 1850 Benton Co MO census in Alexander township? His age was 20 and hers was 19. Both were born in Alabama. James & Elizabeth Robinson are living near the Arthur & Mary (Looney) Mathews family in 1850. Arthur Mathews also had a daughter named Elizabeth, but she was born in 1824 and married Jacob Feaster, so I know this is a different Elizabeth. Thanks.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SMB.2ACI/1386.1 Message Board Post: Cherri, I believe you meant 1880; they were still in Benton 1870 as you stated in an earlier post. The odds of finding an obit or death notice that early are slim, but a suggestion that might determine if she died in Benton or St Clair Co: Thomas must have sold his Benton Co property between 1870 and 1876, and the land record should list both Thomas & Delilah, or only him if she died before that.

If anybody runs across ANY information on Delila (sometimes listed as Lilly, Lillah, Delilah, or Delita, mispellings) please let me know. She was married to Thomas Lawson, (brother of Roland and James) and moved from Cumberland Co. KY, between the 1850-1860 Census' and is gone by the 1870 Census. Thomas shows up in the 1870 Census alone, living next door to his daughter Mary Catherine (Lawson)Amlin, and her family in St. Clair. I do not know which Cemetaries were in operation at the time, or which newspapers. The records from Cumberland Co. went up in a fire, and this is my last lead to find her parents. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance, Sincerely Cherri

You and I have written back and forth previously in reference to a Sophia Beckman who married my grandfather Jacob Bredehoeft. We did find her death record in the Holy Cross Lutheran Church records at Emma, Mo. She only lived such a short time after they were married. I posted another query today. Do you know when Ewald Albers will be in Cole Camp? He is to be there in September.
