Hello listers, I am new to this group. Hoping someone with access to the 1860 Federal Census for Benton County would do a lookup for me. John Sanders, page 414, Warsaw Post Office, ID# MO22995921, according to Ancestry.com. John born in England, wife should be Mary, born in England, she was married first to John Earp so I would not be surprised to find some of the Earp girls in the household as well, Sarah, Jane, and/or Henrietta. Also looking for any details of a marriage in Benton County on March 7, 1858 between John Sanders and Mary Jane Earp from above, my gg grandparents. I am new to this group because I just found out from an IGI record that my g-g grandfather and g-g grandmother (John Sa[u]nders & Mary Ann/Jane (Messenger) Earp) were married in Benton County on March 7, 1858. John had purchased land in Pettis County in 1859 and they were in the 1870 Federal Census for Pettis County so I had not looked too hard elsewhere. Silly me, they were in Flat Creek Township in Pettis which is just over the county line from Benton. Thank you. I look forward to reading all the posts on this list. I checked my back messages and found that we had been exchanging info on Rowland MCDANIEL (in Missouri) beginning in Jan 1999 to May 2000 when you had your time limited. My computer had to be replaced at about the same time but I'm back at it again. The easiest way to update would be for me to send you a GEDCOM file. I think that possibly my son, Robert Patrick, and my brother William E. might have also responded to your messages. Donald L. MacDaniel [email protected]

I believe they were from Neu St.Jürgen, NE of Bremen. My Fred Ti(e)nken family were on the same voyage of the ship D.H. Watjen as the Grimms. I will e-mail you separately with more about these Grimms.
Posted on: Benton Co. Mo Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mo/Benton/11140 Surname: ------------------------- In answer to your first question, Hinrich Martin Grimm is the way he is listed in a transcribed copy of Pyrmont Lutheran Church records, across the line in Morgan County, where many Benton Countians near the line were members. But when there was more than one given name, they seemed to swap them around at will later, eg my grandfather was baptized Peter Wilhelm Ficken, but never called anything but Bill later, and his gravestone reads William P. Re second question, probably too late for any records I have, and don't find anything. HRF
