    2. Mitzi Roberts, email [email protected], has been added to the Benton Co GenWeb Lookups page, for the 1880/1900/1910/1920 Benton County censuses. However, the 1880/1910/1920 are not indexed, so the township name will be required. Please also provide full name of the family head, and do not ask for "any or all" persons of a surname. Big thanks to Mitzi for this great added resource! Homer Ficken, Benton Co GenWeb

Mo Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Mo/Benton/11176 Surname: ------------------------- Sarah Frances McDaniel born in Benton, Co.Dec. 29. 1841 Married to James Prestley Thomas Feb. 16, 1862, died Dec. 15, 1925. She was born to William C. Mc. Daniel who was born anout 1791 in Adair Co. Ky. Married to Polly Stapp in 1810, born in Orange Co. Va. 1793. Sarah Frances later married G. w. Weaver after Thomas had died in the meningitis epidemic of 1873. Sarah Frances and Thomas had four children--Winthrop who died in infancy, my grandfather, William Slidell, Celsus Prestley, and Mary Susan. William Slidell was married to Nellie Estes--four children- Agnes Fern who died in infancy, my mother, Mary Mildred, Prestley Estes and Donald Kirkwood. I have a cherry gateleg table Sarah Frances used when the Bushwhackers came in and demanded breakfast. I'm sure she had ham and eggs, redeye gravy, biscuits and jam. I also have a squirrel musket (muzzle loader, not flintlock) that William C. used. We seem to have good genes, most of the above lived to be in their 80's--my mother was 96, and I am currently 80 and still co-owner of 7 greenhouses and a flower shop, and I still teach music history classes for Columbia College at the Fort Leonard Wood site. Let me know if I can be of help. I have quite a bit of the Stapp history, too.
