Mo Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mo/Benton/11209 Surname: ------------------------- New Home Cemetery has a separate board of directors from the church. I spoke to one of the board members that has a plot of the cemetery. It does contain George W. and Rose but does not give any dates. You can obtain death certificates from the Mo. State Dept. of Health. Information for requesting certificates is on the site below. They will do a five year search. Hope this helps. 3. Posted on: Benton Co. Mo Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mo/Benton/11205 Surname: Thomas, Shull ------------------------- Thank you Barb. We know that George and Rose Thomas are buried next to Ben Thomas, their son. We know Rose died right after 1940 and George died between 1930 and 1940. We needed the exact dates as my mom wanted to put tombstones on their graves. With no stones there, that is probably why they are not listed in the DAR reading. Do you know if the New Home church located next to the cemetary has a list of people buried there?

    3. Posted on: Benton Co. Mo Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mo/Benton/11191 Surname: Adams, Holdren ------------------------- Is there any register of Union Army veterans who are buried in Benton County? My gg grandfather, William Adams, born in 1820 in Ohio, served in Company K, 90th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, from 1862 until 1865. He and his wife, Mary Holdren Adams, born around 1827 in Virginia, and their children moved from Fayette County, Ohio to Benton County sometime after the Civil War. He died Aug. 26, 1884 in or near (I believe) Lincoln, Benton County. Near the end of his life, he lived and worked on the farm of D. B. Rolstin (Ralston?). The widow, Mary, later moved to Pettis County, which is where, I believe, she died in the fall of 1897. I would like to find the location of their graves, and I would appreciate receiving any information on that or on anything else pertaining to them. Thank you. Martin Smith
