Homer & all of you - I have just finished scanning in pictures of the high school class of Cole Camp High of 1917; Boy Scouts in 1913; pictures of some boys sitting on top of a bridge from Cole Camp; Wray family; and two tin types-1 of Catherine Clingingpeel Wray and the other of Catherine & her husband and four children; plus a picture of Daniel Markel, 2nd wife Susan Harryman McCall Markel and her son Hannibal, his wife Granzeda Lee (Wray) and son Paul McCall - taken about 1894. These are large pictures and I am not sure how best to let everyone view them - Homer, do you have plenty of room at your site? I can put some on my home site, but not all of them, I don't think? I have made sure that names are visible on the front of the pictures, but if they are reduced, they might not be! I am hoping to get them all put together so I can leave them at the library when we visit Benton Co. next month. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I think they will hold interest to a lot of people. Benton Co. >From pp 339-340, Vol 3, History of Benton Co: Lafayette Benedict, known as Zirie Benedict, came from who knows where ....In 1870 he was 23 and worked for Ashel McNett ... In 1871 he married Malinda, Ashel's daughter. They had two children, Ida and Liddie. When Liddie was born Mr McNett took the girl home with him. Zirie went to the home and after a hot quarrel used a knife on the old man. Mr McNett lived but never fully recovered. After being held for a time in the Warsaw jail, Zirie disappeared. Liddie, his youngest daughter, died while almost a baby, and Ida Benedict grew up not knowing her father. (Author listed as Keith A. Miller, greatgrandson of Lafayette Benedict)
