    1. [MOBENTON-L] Re: Bruns in Benton County
    2. Dear Betty, I am a stepdaughter to Charles Dick. His mother Mary was the daughter of Anton Bruns. Anton had two brothers. August Bruns, and John Bruns, and as you said they came from Germany. Charles is 87 years old as of yesterday, and remembers his mother talking about August and John her uncles. I am sorry that he does not remember much more. If you could give me more info on what you have, I will try to help you on this end. It might take some time, but there are records at the libaray that I might research in my spare time. If this helps, you can e-mail me at [email protected] Sincerely Jane Janzen

    1. [MOBENTON-L] Need help
    2. I hope that I am on the correct mail list. I am needing information for Warsaw, Missouri area. My grandfather, Earl Walter Mitchell, passed away in his home near Warsaw about May 7, 1965. I say about because he was dead for several days before he was discovered. Is there anyone on the list who is in the area and could go to the library and see if there were any articles about his death in the local newspaper? I am willing to pay reasonable costs for mileage, copies and postage. Due to my husband's serious illness I am unable to come to Missouri from Ohio and do this research. Sincerely, Conni Mitchell Braun

    1. [MOBENTON-L] John C. and Sarah Johnson
    2. The 1880 Benton Co. Federal Census lists a Jno. C. Johnson, b. OH abt 1820 and wife Sallie, b. KY abt 1823. In the same household is listed a grandson, Clarence Garrison. I think there is a good chance that John C. Johnson is of my line as the names, ages and birthplace of both John C. and Sarah match what I have found elsewhere. My Sarah Johnson's maiden name was Peterie or Petrie. One source states that John died in Kansas. Would like to hear from anyone with knowledge of this family or who might have access to information that could shed adddtional light on this family. Please resond to [email protected] if you have info.

    1. [MOBENTON-L] Re: Warner Delozier, Climax Springs
    2. Climax Springs is in Camden County, near the southeast corner of Benton County, so his records would probably be there. If you think he lived near there, but on the Benton side of county line, click on "Links & Announcements" at upper right of message board, and check the links listed there.
