He was the youngest of 5 sons born to Nancy Christine Lamon and William Francis (Bill) Williams. Frank's father died 23 days before he was born and his mother died when he was age 7. Frank and his brothers were raised by members of the Hartsell and Lamon Families. Frank's brother Jack Williams was the oldest. In the mid 1890's he gathered his brothers and they moved to Seattle. They were intent on joining the gold rush stampede to Alaska and the Yukon. In 1898, Jack, Joe, Elmer, and Frank set off for Alaska. There Frank met Marie Olson. They were married in Dawson City in 1899. They met at the claims office in Dawson when each of them were attempting to put a claim on the same property. No one knows who ended up with the claim, but Frank and Marie were married for 65 years. Frank and Marie built a hotel in Dawson City and Marie ran the hotel while frank mined for gold. In 1903 their daughter Bernice was born. In 1905, the family decided to return to Seattle. They only had enough money for Marie and the baby to take the boat from Dawson to Skagway so Frank walked 500 miles to Skagway. He made the trip in 12 days. After returning to Seattle, Frank and Marie started a taxi service in Auburn Washington. They soon had the franchise for bus and taxi service for south King County. Their business did well until the 1930 when the depression hit the area. They sold the business and moved to a farm. After WW11 they moved back to Seattle and bought rental real estate. Frank was not well schooled but he had a talent for being self sufficient and innovative in a primative way. He could build furniture out of driftwood and log cabins. He help his son John (b1907)develop real estate holdings. Frank died in 1966 and he is buried at Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Seattle, Wa Nancy Lamon (Frank's mother) Nancy was the daughter of Emanuel and Kissiah Hartsell Lamon. Nancy married Bill Williams at the age of 15. They had 5 sons, Alda Jackson 1864, Joseph 1867, Edward 1870, Elmer 1871 and Frank 1873. After Bill died in 1873 she married Charles Potts. Charles had been married several times and had several children. Together Charles and Nancy had Julia and Allan. Both Charles and Nancy died in 1880. Nancy died on Christmas Eve. Her children were raised by members of her family. Bill Williams was born in Morgan Cty Missouri in 1844. He was the son of Joseph Williams and Rachel Larimore. He died of complications from wounds he received in the Civil War. Kissiah Hartsell and Emanuel Lamon. Kissiah and Emanuel came to Bates county in 1841 from Tennessee. They came by wagon train. Several other members of their families were on the trip with them and also settled in Bates and Cass Counties. (David and Isaac Hartsell, Thomas and William Lamon) Kissiah was born in Cocke Cty Tenn and was the daughter of Isaac Hartsell and Rosemond Nelson. Emanuel was born in Washington Cty Tenn and was the son of John and Rachel Lamon and the grandson of David and Caty Lamon. Emanuel was shot and killed by bushwackers during the Civil War. The children of Kissiah and Emanuel Lamon were Martha Jane 1836, Mary 1837, Isaac Newton 1838, Dean 1840, Nancy christine 1848, Juda 1850, Allan Thomas 1855, Sarah 1856, and Rachel Kissiah 1858.
