She was 75 years, 11 months and 4 days old. In January 1876 she was married to Calvin Biser. To this union six children were born, four sons and two daughters. The sons are W. M. and W. R. Biser of St. Joseph, Mo., and J. L. and R. W. Biser of Chicago. The two daughters are Mrs. Rose L. Branum, St. Joseph, and Mrs. A. W. Stumph, Jacksonville, Fla. Besides these relatives she leaves to morn (sic) her loss fifteen grand children and four great grand children. Mrs. Biser lived practically all of her life here and south of town unitl (sic) eight years ago when she went to St. Joseph, Mo. She was a member of the Christian church in Hume, She leaves relatives and many friends to morn (sic) her departure, but their loss is her gain. Gone but not forgotten. “She hath done what she could.” Funeral services were conducted from the Christian Church, Tuesday afternoon, January 5, 1932, by A. L. Bay and interment was in the Hume cemetery. Hume Border Messenger, January 7, 1932, page 1, column 2. (Note: Mrs. Biser's maiden name was Johnston, often misspelled as Johnson.)
