Last week my husband, his cousin and I were in Butler, Bates Co., MO and were searching for more info about the family of Susannah Bradshaw Cluck Manning. My husband's g grandparents are Jacob B. and Sarah Elizabeth Bradshaw Cluck. Jacob and Sarah Elizabeth are buried in Rockville, MO cemetery along with mother of Sarah and Susannah, Milly Bledsoe Bradshaw. We have never been able to find out what Cluck was the first husband of Susannah, do not think that it is a brother of Jacob. When we were in Butler we picked up copies of the probate records in which 5 Manning children are mentioned. Susannah had married Jasper Manning after the unknown Cluck. Jasper, Susannah and one Cluck child died in 1871 in some kind of epidmic, many calls from doctor on probate records for different amounts of patients in each visit. On one probate record W. R. Cluck was made Guardian along with J. B. Cluck (would be Jacob) and D. W. Edwards. This was for the child Isaac N. Manning. William Bradshaw, brother of Sarah and Susannah, was named on some of the others. It states that W. R. Cluck is living in that county, the date on that court record is the 13th day of July, 1885, another date 1886. Is there anyone who might know who this W. R. Cluck is?? We think that he may connect to first husband of Susannah. Marguerette Powell
