Kansas City Times, Saturday, April 4, 1981: Nelson J. Cole Mrs. Bessie J. Cole Services for Nelson J. Cole, 70, and Mrs. Bessie J. Cole, 68, Amoret, MO, who were killed Thursday in a two-vehicle accident at 61st and Kansas 32, Kansas City, Kansas, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Amoret Presbyterian church; burial in Richland Cemetery near Amoret. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Mangold Chapel, Amsterdam, MO. The family suggests contributions to the church. Mr. Cole was a life long Amoret resident. He was a farmer and a member of the Amoret Presbyterian Church and the Jolly Hour Club. Mrs. Cole was born near Amsterdam and had lived in Amoret most of her life. The leave a son, William Cole, Amoret; four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Reeves and Mrs. Daisy Riedl of Kansas City, Kansas, Mrs. Elizabeth Jones, Little Rock, Ark, and Mrs. Leona Brekke, Mertens, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and a great- granddaughter. Mr. Cole also leaves a brother, Joseph F. Cole, Kansas City, and two sisters, Mrs. Daisy M. Miller, Yuba City, Calif, and Mrs. Bessie M. Crawford, Kansas City. Mrs. Cole also leaves two brothers, Howard Crawford, Kansas City, and John Crawford, Amsterdam, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Nelson, Amsterdam. -------------------------------------------------------------
