According to my information, Christopher Columbus BEARCE was born 13 Aug 1841 in CT. He married Rebecca Ellis (Elizabeth?) MELTON 28 Apr 1864 in Rocheport, MO. They lived in Scott Co, IL for a while, then moved to Rockville, Bates Co, MO. At least 6 of their children were born in Bates Co. Rebecca was born 11 Jun 1842 in Clinton, MO. It is believed that her family came from VA. Christopher died 23 Nov 1911 and Rebecca died 23 May 1926. They are buried in a cemetery near Appleton City, MO.
