The Wheaton Historical Society is having a "Snowflake Tea" at the Wheaton Depot Museum on Sat. Jan 28, 2012 at 2-4 PM (Alternate bad weather date is Feb. 4) We will have an old fashioned tea party, serving tea from the silver Tea service belonging to one of Wheaton's longest living residents who sadly passed away in 2010 at age 103.Elizabeth Smith. her daughter Molly will be doing the pouring honors! On display is over 300 pieces of Fancy needle work done by ladies past and present. Crochet, Knitting, quilting, embroidery etc. and a teapot collection of Nola Sanders McMillen. Jill Paden a former Wheaton Resident will be showing ( for sale) her original handmade Jewelry. You may come as you are or wear your best dress hat and gloves. a $2.00 donation at the door. All proceeds to benefit the Museum. The Wheaton Historical Society has scheduled their fifth Annual "Sweetheart Dinner" to be held at the WHS Tech. Center Sat eve Feb. 11. 6:30 PM Music will be provided by the Wheaton School Music dept. A Fund raising Auction will also be held. 10 ladies have been selected to decorate 10 tables for 8 using a valentine theme. We sugest reserving early as only 80 tickets are available. The tickest are $12.50 each or $25, per couple. Tickets are available at Security Bank in Wheaton and Cassville, Wheaton City Hall, or at the Wheaton Depot.
