Therefore, I am assuming that the Centennial was probably celebrated in 1980. I have contacted a lady who served on the Exeter Centennial Committee and she is researching the exact date for me. I think The Exeter Book was published in 1980. On the 4th page: The Original plat for Exeter Village was filed on October of 1880. On February 7, 1881 Exeter became an incorporated village. On page 5, The Exeter Village had been chartered in 1800. Since the book is titled "The First 100 years in Exeter" you could assume it was published in the 1980s.
