    3. Casey, I am forwarding your message to the list mail readers, maybe someone who reads can help - and perhaps will be researching the Danley family, too. We are doing home construction and so at the moment I can't get to my copy of the Exeter book to see the publication date. List Readers,  a researcher of the Danley family wants to know about the out of print Exeter book. Would you very kindly help her out. Thanks, Donna Cooper ----- Forwarded Message ----- >From: Casey Danley <caseyedanley@hotmail.com> >To: donnac58@yahoo.com >Sent: Tuesday, January 24, 2012 11:30 PM >Subject: Publication date of "First 100 Years of Exeter" > > > >Greetings Donna, >  >What was the publication date of "First 100 Years of Exeter"? >  >Thanks, >Casey Danley >DeWitt, Iowa >  >FYI: I am a descendent of - and doing research on - Hezekiah "HK" Danley.  Also related to the Drinkwater, Metcalf, and Bryson families in Barry county, MO. > > >

Therefore, I am assuming that the Centennial was probably celebrated in 1980. I have contacted a lady who served on the Exeter Centennial Committee and she is researching the exact date for me. When I receive that information I will forward it to you. Kathy White, Director Barry County Museum Cassville, Missouri

    3. I think The Exeter Book was published in 1980. On the 4th page: The Original plat for Exeter Village was filed on October of 1880. On February 7, 1881 Exeter became an incorporated village. On page 5, The Exeter Village had been chartered in 1800. Since the book is titled "The First 100 years in Exeter" you could assume it was published in the 1980s.
